Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary Sherlock Holmes tale, first published 125 years ago, comes to life in a wildly enjoyable, fun-filled comedy mystery.
When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead in the grounds of Baskerville Hall, his family estate on Dartmoor, with a look of terror carved on his face and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside him, the great detective Sherlock Holmes is summoned from Baker Street. With loyal Dr Watson in tow, the legendary sleuths must unravel the mystery and crack the ancient curse of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
The play is brought vividly and brilliantly to life by Inner Voice Theatre Company, a young Bristol-born theatre company making its London debut less than a year after launching. Three super-talented West Country actors – Ezra Clarke, Robert Carden and Gabe Willem – play fourteen roles between them in this ultra-high-energy comedy. Produced and directed by award-winning director Steven Clarke, this production is suitable for ages 8+
‘A brilliant, funny show, with a great cast, playful direction and hundreds of jokes.’ — Gareth Edwards, veteran BBC/Channel 4 comedy producer. The script, by Olivier Award nominees Steven Canny and John Nicholson, is packed with verbal and visual wit, delivering a sublimely engaging and hilarious adaptation of this rip-roaring British classic. ‘Bursts with imagination, intelligence and irreverence’ — The Guardian.
