TRIPLE BILL: ACTS OF EXALTATION | BAROQUE ENCOUNTERS | NOCTURNE

We are looking forward to returning to the Royal Academy of Dance’s beautiful Aud Jebsen Studio Theatre with a programme featuring music by Monteverdi, Bach, and Chopin.
Baroque meets contemporary ballet in Baroque Encounters, a playful group work set to two pieces for harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach. Choreographed by NEBT’s Assistant Director and Associate Choreographer, Daniela Cardim, Baroque Encounters premiered last year to great acclaim at Sadler’s Wells’ Lilian Baylis Studio, receiving four-star reviews.
The programme also features a premiere preview performance of Royal Ballet Principal Star Matthew Ball’s first group work Acts of Exaltation, set to Monteverdi and Daniela Cardim’s dramatic pas-de-deux Nocturne.
About the Company
New English Ballet Theatre (NEBT) is a dynamic professional ballet company dedicated to producing new commissions that represent the versatility and significance of ballet today and promoting the early career development of talented dancers, choreographers, and designers. NEBT has gained respect and recognition for its commitment to furthering outstanding talent and for its visionary, holistic approach to ballet making.
To date, NEBT has produced ten critically acclaimed west-end shows, performing at over thirty venues in the UK, including prestigious theatres like the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells.
