November 9 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Imperial College London’s popular series of after-hours events are back for an evening sure to tantalise anyone’s tastebuds: Imperial Lates – Future Food.
Nourish your mind at an evening exploring the science of, as well as exploring science through, food. Unpack what our food may look like in the future and why what we eat is important with scientists and external practitioners through creative workshops, live experiments, and bite-sized talks.
Programme highlights include:
- A fermentation workshop where you’ll learn practical tips to improve your gut health and make a ferment to take home.
- An interactive demonstration where you’ll put your tastebuds to the test and discover whether you are a supertaster.
- Exploring fluid dynamics with a chocolate fountain.
- Test your knowledge at our Big Fat Food Quiz of the night!
Imperial Lates are a relaxed, social way for the public to get up close and personal with fascinating research across Imperial College London. With a bar offering light refreshments and a delicious DJ set to dance to, this is a free evening of science discovery not to be missed.
Imperial Lates are free to attend and most suitable for those over 18s. Pre-registration is highly encouraged to help to manage numbers and ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone.
