.00-6.45pm Optional pre-meet nearby – details tbc
.45-7.15pm Meet & greet in the Energy Cafe (Level 0, next to the gift shop) this is where we’ll plan our itinerary for the evening as well as sharing news of events, projects, resources that support the teaching of #Computing in school and #DigitalMaking. It provides a chance for you to grab a drink or byte to eat. If you have something interesting to share, please bring it with you – but it will need to pass the security checks at the entrance!
.15-9.00pm Walkabout – We’ll wander around together, exploring the different talks, activities and demonstrations throughout the evening. If you refer to the programme released a day or two beforehand on the Science Museum website, you’ll be able to see what’s on offer and help us plan our itinerary for the evening. Sometimes when the theme of the evening does not have strong links to Computing, we plan our own activities.
pm+ Departure – the Science Museum remains open until 9.45pm, but choose to leave around 9pm or earlier, particularly when it’s a school day the following day. So stay for as little or long as you wish.
On the last Wednesday of every month (except December), the Science Museum closes at 6pm and then re-opens again from 6.45pm until 10:00pm for “Lates”, an evening packed full of talks, demonstrations and hands-on activities. If you arrive before doors open at 6.45pm, you’ll need to join the lengthy queue outside on Exhibition Road.
