This Autumn Deen City Farm will be running a series of beginner-friendly craft workshops for adults. We’ll be introducing you to new skills and techniques, and providing all the basics and tuition you’ll need to carry on your new hobby at home!

On Sunday, 14th September, we’ll be showing you the basics of Natural Dyes, including what you can use and where to find them, and helping you dye your own stylish tote bag to take away.

On Sunday, 21st September, we’ll be helping you out with the basics of embroidery. You’ll get your own needle, embroidery thread and hoop to take away as well as your own work as we guide you through the basic stitches.

On Sunday, 5th October, we’ll be looking at calligraphy – how to do it, what you need and what the basic strokes look like. Best of all you’ll get your own working feather quill pen – generously donated by our feathered residents – to take away along with your art.
