The Long Play Sessions - Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai - Early Bird Tickets £5
From Glasgow’s DIY underground to stages across the world, few bands have redefined the possibilities of guitar music quite like Mogwai. Join founding member Stuart Braithwaite as he discusses his acclaimed memoir, Spaceships Over Glasgow: Mogwai, Mayhem and Misspent Youth, in conversation with renowned music journalist Keith Cameron.
Warm, witty and disarmingly honest, Spaceships Over Glasgow is far more than the story of one band. It’s a vivid portrait of growing up in Scotland, discovering transformative records, surviving the chaos of touring, and building one of the most influential and uncompromising careers in modern music.
Expect an evening of stories from the road, reflections on Glasgow’s legendary independent music scene, the creative highs and inevitable lows of life in a band, and the enduring power of music to shape lives. Whether you’ve followed Mogwai since Young Team or you’re fascinated by the culture that fuels great music, this promises to be a memorable conversation.
The evening includes an audience Q&A and book signing.
Tickets are £5 via the link below.
