Located in central London, V.O Curations is an arts organisation dedicated to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists, curators and researchers through an innovative and critically-engaged programme. Founded in 2018 by Zina Vieille and Nnamdi Obiekwe, V.O Curations believes that to curate is to approach all aspects of our programme – residencies, exhibitions, events, publications and studio spaces – with care.

V.O Curations promotes diverse voices and narratives across all activities and projects. The programme aims to facilitate artistic exchange, socially-focused discourse, knowledge production and experimentation. The focus remains on cultivating a sense of community, promoting collaboration and encouraging active learning rather than passive viewing.

In January 2021, V.O Curations opened its new hub at 56 Conduit Street, which will be the site for its residency programme along with a gallery, project space and artist studios. This new location in Mayfair reinforces our commitment to connecting emerging and underrepresented artists to distinctive networks and resources.

V.O Curations presents exhibitions by our residents – often their first solo shows in the UK – as well as a programme of critically-engaged curatorial projects. Our shows are supported by an engaging public programme including but not limited to workshops, talks, performances, screenings, lectures and reading groups. Launched at 56 Conduit Street in Mayfair in January 2021, the new V.O Gallery reinforces our commitment to connecting emerging and underrepresented artists to distinctive networks and resources.

V.O Studios are located conveniently across central London, providing artists and practitioners with comfortable, secure and affordable space in which to work. Through our studios we are committed to reflecting the diversity of artists and practices in London, to cultivating a sense of community within our studio environments and to providing studio occupants with access to resources and the broader V.O network.
V.O provides support to studio occupants through mentoring, access to V.O Project Spaces (located in each studio building), and exhibition and collaboration opportunities. “Open Days” are scheduled throughout the year to offer artists and practitioners the option to engage with interested members of the local community as well as the wider public. Launched in October 2019, V.O Studios is a not-for-profit initiative.
