Melissa Rayne is a neurodivergent and disabled Outsider Dance Artist, creating radically unperformative works. Her practice, DanceArt, uses automatism as an alchemical tool for transformation; challenging concepts of what contemporary dance is and who gets to dance it in the process.
Melissa’s work has been supported by Arts Council England (DYCP Award 2024) and been platformed in the UK and Budapest. As a freelance performer/teacher since 2010, she has worked with the likes of: Trinity Laban, Protein Dance, BBC TV, Elrow.
