Zhenya Strigalev – Friday Jazz Nights at Ladbroke Hall

Zhenya Strigalev (Eric Harland, Ambrose Akinmusire, Tim Lefebvre, Chris “Daddy” Dave, Alex Sipiagin, William Parker, Aaron Parks) has always been known for intense and memorable playing with a unique sound on his saxophones. He has absorbed the techniques and sounds of jazz history and around the globe.

On this tour, Zhenya celebrates the creation of his new Quartet, which consists of Miami-based outstanding drummer Harvel Nakundi (Godwin Louis, Richard Bona), leading UK pianist Ivo Neame (Phronesis, Marius Neset), and Scottish bass virtuoso Ewan Hastie. They will play his new original compositions as well as music from his last albums, “JZ Replacement,” “The Change,” and “Blues For Maggie.”
