Yard Away Home : Celebrating Voices of the Windrush Generation

Join us at TNG Youth Centre on Sat, 24 June, for a very special one-off performance of theatre, music, dance and Caribbean cuisine as we mark the 75th anniversary of the Empire Windrush landing in the UK!
YARD AWAY HOME: Celebrating the Voices of the Windrush Generation will tell the amazing story of those who came to the UK in 1948 at the invitation of the British government and how their expectations differed from their first impressions. Combining a dramatic and comic storyline with authentic music and dance styles of the Caribbean, this event is not to be missed.
Cultural activities and food from 5 pm, show from 6.30-8.30 pm approx. Please note this show is suitable for all over 7, though some scenes may require parental guidance. TNG Youth Centre, next to Wells Park, SE26 6AD
