Let’s get creative and learn new upcycling skills together🫶 Join us for a spring evening workshop learning couching & embroidery techniques to bring new life to an old piece of clothing! Bring something from your closet that needs some love & we’ll help you turn it into your favourite new look💘
COUCHING is a technique for attaching thick thread or fabric strips to fabric by embroidering over it. The result is a thick, textured line great for playing with color and images!
🌟 All skill levels welcome! We will provide instructions and support throughout the process of creating your piece. Join a positive & encouraging community of material grrrlz (18+)
🦋 We will use fabric scraps, embroidery thread, yarn, notions, and simple hand sewing techniques to add color, texture, shapes, and images to our pieces. The options are endless!
🍭 All upcycling materials are included in your ticket! Just bring an old piece of clothing that you’d like to upcycle:)
🌸 This venue has step-free access and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
