Amidst yet another dark news cycle, Turning Earth Winter Market returns with festive cheer and a much-needed reminder of the endless creativity of human beings.
Over 100 ceramic artists will come together across two market weekends at the Turning Earth studios in Tottenham and Leyton. Open studios will accompany each market from our neighbours, which include furniture makers, house plant stylists, and vintage fashion stores, among other creative businesses.
As usual, you can expect live music, mulled wine and minced pies, street food vans and barista coffee, and the most diverse, high-quality selection of ceramics you could find in one place anywhere.
Come and hunt through Aladdin’s cave of handcrafted objects. Witness the resilience of our makers who endure failure after failure to achieve mastery in clay, and be reminded that confrontation with adversity is often the doorway to the unexpected and the birthplace of the best ideas.
You never know; perhaps you will decide that now is finally the time to sit down and start making things yourself again.
