The Embassy of Japan in the UK hosts an exhibition that explores the influence of Japanese textiles in the UK.
By presenting eight artists who together have mastered weaving, dyeing, embroidery and stitching techniques, this exhibition proves the vibrancy of Japan-inspired craft in this country. Each artist has their own special story and connection with their craft but when viewed as a whole, their work shows careful consideration towards environmental concerns and the importance of preserving the legacy of textile art in the future.
