Swingin’ in a Winter Wonderland

Internationally acclaimed jazz band Sabra Swing will light up the room at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club with a swinging selection of Christmas and Hanukah tunes. Some of the most famous contemporary Christmas songs came from the pen of Jewish composers and lyricists – White Christmas, Let It Snow, Walking in a Winter Wonderland, Santa Baby, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, to name only a few.
This show will be your soundtrack to the Holidays – expect festive favourites from Irving Berlin to Wham! (Yes, even Last Christmas – thanks to George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s Jewish roots). You’ll hear a new jazzy twist on Hanukah hits, including Ocho Kandelikas, Dreidel Song, Maoz Tsur and O Hanukah O Hanukah, performed Sabra Swing-style!

The band’s recent shows include the EFG London Jazz Festival and Tsitsit Jewish Fringe Festival, and they have performed around the world to rave reviews. Described by the New York Times as “soulful and virtuosic”, the band are known for their heartfelt and fiery performances, along with colourful set lists and quick-witted onstage chat, making them a firm favourite with audiences.
