Adam and Agnes are an artist couple in their early twenties discussing their recent breakup. Meanwhile, Jack and Joan— the characters in Agnes’ play, set in the 1950s— are in the midst of a divorce. ‘Swan Teeth’ aims to provide a magnifying glass for relationship archetypes and lacklustre dating dynamics. What do they bring to the surface, and how do they break us apart? Swans don’t have teeth but can still bite hard enough to leave a mark.
Sofia JM Bitelli debuted as a playwright, director, and producer with SWAN TEETH, a poignant exploration of contemporary intimacy. Starring Josephine Moore (Dreamliners, Edinburgh Fringe) and Benjamin Finch (Maar, Dora, The Second Woman), the play brings depth and nuance to the stage.
This highly anticipated two-night (February 20th and 22nd) run occurs at Theatreship, a nonprofit arts venue aboard a historic ship in Canary Wharf. The evening also features readings from TEETH & OTHER BONES, a poetry and art zine inspired by the play.
