St Valentine’s Virtual Balloon Race in aid of Celia Hammond Animal Trust

Celia Hammond Animal Trust (CHAT) is currently caring for around 750 rescue cats across its Lewisham, Canning Town, and Brede centres. Over the duration of the 7-day St Valentine’s Virtual Balloon Race it will cost approximately £15,000 to feed the animals, and the charity relies entirely on public donations.
The St Valentine’s Virtual Balloon Race starts at 12 noon on 14 February 2026 and takes place entirely online. With no real balloons involved, the vent is both wildlife friendly and non-gambling.
CHAT virtual race balloons cost just £3 each, and there are prizes to win too. The overall race winner will receive £100 cash, and the runner-up an Amazon Echo Dot (4th Generation). There’s also a box of CHAT goodies for the furthest-travelling CHAT balloon.
