SKARB is a one-off folk oratorio in cabaret style, rooted in Belarusian folk music and storytelling, exploring the deep connection between nature, ancestry and identity. Produced and presented by Alesia Mankouskaya and created with Evelina Shchadryna, the show uses live music, traditional songs and theatrical narrative to trace a journey of self-discovery, asking who we are and where we come from. Set in today’s urban world, it draws on traditional communities to evoke cultural memory. Part of Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival 2025, the event invites audiences to reflect on heritage and belonging. After the 1-hour performance there’s a Q&A. Based on poetry by Hanna Komar. Suitable for adults; contains references to death.
