A highly entertaining evening of original comic and dramatic monologues.
Our first ‘scratch night’ of the year – after the huge success of Love Bytes: Futureshock and Postcards Part 2 last year – is a highly entertaining collection of original monologues, both comic and dramatic, written by members of our two scriptwriting workshops, ScriptHub Beginners and ScriptHub Advanced. Expect a wide range of characters and stories – much in the mould of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads – presented with Spontaneous Productions’ usually polished aplomb.
Producer/co-director Jonathan Kaufman says ‘We love our scratch nights, and so do our audiences – like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get! And the cast love performing them too, with minimal rehearsal and only basic props, scenery and costume, it’s always an adrenaline rush to put these plays on the stage and the writers’ feedback is immensely rewarding – see the quotes below!’
