Mio (He/They) is a Jamaican Theatre make, born and raised in London. He has a love for puppetry, myths and storytelling, which he uses to reflect Black and Queer communities. He often draws from his experiences a working class, Trans person intertwined with cultural folklore and different types of puppetry and mask work. He founded Banton theatre to help marginalised people create theatre about their communities. With Banton theatre he stages plays and facilitates puppetry workshops.
