Every year in London Remembrance Day reflects upon the soldiers that have lost their lives at war. On this remembrance Sunday, the lives lost is respected with Silence in the Square and other continuing events.
Various concerts, church services and commemorative events take place across London on this day to remember the men and women who gave their lives in combat. The beautiful red poppy is the symbol of Remembrance and hope. The Legion takes responsibility in upholding this tradition every year since Sine the World War as a way to safeguard the memory of the once who gave their live for the country.
History enthusiast can take a free TOUR on remembrance day to visit cemeteries, memorials and battlefields of the First and Second World Wars. Free discussions and programs are run by The Legion to better equip the public of the mission behind London’s Remembrance Day.
