The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) invites you to save the date and RSVP for an in-person side-event discussion on disability-inclusive recovery and disability justice in the context of Ukraine’s post-war recovery. The discussion will be held in central London as an informal side event to the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
- What: “Recovery and Reform: How People with Disabilities are Key to Ukraine’s Future.”
- Who: Organized by IFES.
- When: June 20, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. BST.
- Where: Central London.
- Why: The event—organized in the run-up to the Ukraine Recovery Conference—will promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in Ukraine’s recovery and reform. This discussion, grounded in international human rights frameworks, will bring together leading Ukrainian and international human rights advocates, civil society representatives, and government officials. Participants will share practical recommendations for disability-inclusive recovery and disability justice in institutional transformation in Ukraine.

If you would like to join the event, please complete a short registration here. The agenda and other relevant details will be shared with attendees closer to the event. The preliminary discussion will be held in English in a talk show format. Interpretation into Ukrainian language, ISL, and BSL will be provided upon notification through the registration form. Please note that IFES does not cover travel expenses.
