Places Near and Far, a collection of work by London artist, Sumi Sastri, reimagines landscape as a dynamic system shaped by elemental and geological change, cultural history and perception. Inspired by global landscapes including the Namib Desert, Amazon Rainforest, Iberia, and Cornwall, the artist uses a restrained palette and layered acrylic processes to immersive compositions that explore memory, transformation, and interconnectedness.
