One Night In Rio: A Journey Through Samba

To mark 15 years of dazzling performances across the UK and beyond, London’s premier Brazilian dance company Brazilian Fantasy is proud to present its very first full-length theatre production: One Night in Rio. This landmark event promises to transform Notting Hill’s historic Tabernacle Theatre into a carnival stage for one unforgettable evening only.
At its heart, this 90-minute spectacular celebrates the culture and history of samba – tracing its Afro-Brazilian roots in Rio de Janeiro’s Black communities and its evolution into the global phenomenon of Rio Carnival. Presented in a dynamic and accessible theatre format, the show combines the authentic traditions of samba with electrifying choreography, live drumming, and dazzling costumes to create a performance that entertains, educates, and inspires.
