NAVIAR HAIKU FEST: 7th December, Café Oto in London
A unique blend of electronic music and Japanese poetry
Next December 7th, at Café Oto in London, the 4th edition of the Naviar Haiku Fest will take place. A special occasion to share the passion for art by putting together experimental electronic music and the minimalistic Japanese art of Haiku.
After 2 years, the event returns featuring performances by members and friends of Naviar Records, working in ambient, electronic, and contemporary classical music fields, including SIMON MCCORRY, MANJA RISTIĆ, AUDIO OBSCURA, LEON CLOWES, ENCYM & GEORGE CROWLEY, and DANIEL GREEN.
Each performance will be introduced by haiku poems written and recited by members of the British Haiku Society, the event’s official partner. All on the iconic stage of Café Oto, one of the UK’s most representative venues for experimental music.
Naviar Records is a music community and label. We explore the connection between experimental electronic music and traditional Japanese poetry through regular publications, open projects, and events.
This special cultural encounter will be a spectacular occasion to appreciate talented composers playing and learn more about the mastery of combining two different forms of art.
