Nano: Free Science Workshop for Children
June 30, 2021 @ 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Event Navigation

This workshop is aimed at children aged 5-12 and their families.
The spectacular science of the very (very) small
Join Imperial physicist Dr Jess Wade and award-winning illustrator Melissa Castrillón to explore the spectacular science of nanomaterials.
We’ll shrink ourselves down to the size of atoms and molecules to explore exactly what makes certain nanomaterials so incredible. By moving atoms very carefully, scientists can create extraordinary nanomaterials, creating technologies to build a better world. The workshop will include hands-on activities, experiments and drawing challenges. Join in their conversation about how materials can change our lives and protect the planet – and pick up some drawing tips too.
This workshop is aimed at children aged 5-12 and their families.
You will need paper, coloured pens or pencils, and a few household materials to take part. We will let you know all the details before the event.
