Making Waves: Voices for Water speaker event

An evening of inspirational speakers, in aid of the Wilderness Foundation UK and supporting the Wilderness Art Collective, sharing our adventurous and therapeutic relationship to water, impacts of climate change, and other threats to seas and rivers.
Speakers include:
- Professor Jules Pretty, Professor of Environment and Society at the University of Essex and multi-author including The Low-Carbon Good Life and Sea Sagas of the North;
- Mark Agnew, award-winning adventurer, journalist and European Adventurer of the Year 2023 on his record-breaking sea kayaking crossing of the North West Passage;
- Amy-Jane Beer, naturalist, writer and campaigner and author of the award-winning The Flow, Rivers, Waters and Wilderness;
- Dr Helen Scales, marine biologist, writer and broadcaster, and author of many books about the ocean including the Guardian bestseller Spirals in Time, New York Times top summer read The Brilliant Abyss;
- Paul Rose, experienced television presenter and radio broadcaster, former Vice President of the Royal Geographical Society and Chair of the Expeditions and Fieldwork Division and currently Expedition Leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions.
Doors open at 6.30pm – Early guests can enjoy the Waterlines Art Exhibition and cash bar.
There will be an interval, raffle and a 5-minute auction during the event.
