March 19 @ 3:00 pm - 4:45 pm

£27.50
Ancient Tea Ceremony

Learn and experience five different wild, ancient and indigenous teas in the style of an old tea ceremony

**HALF PRICE at £27.50 with promo code: Tea42**

Join us at the Museum of London Docklands for a unique afternoon experience. Hosted in our immersive warehouse, this is an exclusive chance to learn about tea and its origins in authentic historical surroundings.

Your experience will begin with a selection of cakes and a warming cup of tea whilst you settle in and listen to Curator Danielle Thom’s introductory talk. She will offer you a view into 18th Century tea drinking and the significance importing tea into London had on the nation.

From 18th Century London to ancient China, we will be joined by the founder of Grass People Tree Tree Rui Liu, who will lead an interactive workshop celebrating 2,500-year ancestral insight to tea knowledge, cultural diversity and environmental harmony.

Following the traditional way of teaching where knowledge is shared at the tea table with storytelling, you will learn and experience five different wild, ancient and indigenous teas in the style of an old tea ceremony based in the remote mountains of Guizhou China. So come join us as we discover tea beyond its colonised history and origins.
