Event Navigation

A unique opportunity to draw Lucian Freud’s muse Sue Tilley, who posed for some of the artist’s most iconic paintings, including ‘Benefits Supervisor Sleeping’ (1995) and ‘Benefits Supervisor Resting’ (1994) which went on to sell for a record-breaking £35 million.
Leading British contemporary portrait artist Caroline Walker will guide participants through this one-hour life drawing session, moving from several short poses to a longer stance. Please note the model will be fully clothed, basic materials will be provided – if you wish to bring additional equipment, please confirm via email at roslarts@rosl.org.uk.
Sue Tilley will also welcome and answer your questions about what it was really like to model for Lucian Freud and what he was like as a man and as a painter.
