Jukebox Sunday Night Jive – fun 1940’s 50’s jive party

Jukebox Sunday night Jive returns to North London with the retro diva and vinyl queen DJ Jen (from Jump Jive and Shout) spinning the red hot, pulsating, uplifting, vintage vinyl sounds that sizzle. Get ready for some dynamic, energy-driven 40s and ’50s tunes. There’s rhythm & blues, jump jive, doo-wop, jivers, blues shouters, rock ‘n; roll, big band, swing and a whole lot more.

Music that rocked the jukeboxes, gin houses and rent parties all over America and still sounds as fresh today as it did way back then.

Big Joe Turner, Louis Jordan, Bull Moose Jackson, Little Richard, Ruth Brown, Buddy Holly, The Larks, Pee Wee King, Cab Calloway, The Jacks, Chuck Berry and Louis Prima are just some of the great names you can look forward to hearing.
