“A woman who can’t cry. I assure you, there is nothing to fear.”
Instructions on How to Cry is a new devised comedy play exploring the science and mystery of emotional tears which appear to be solely present in Homo Sapiens. Mixing clowning, physical comedy and atmospheric live music, the show invites audiences to have fun and celebrate theatre. At the heart of the performance lies a simple question: why do humans cry?
A show filled with fun clowning and music. Devised and loosely inspired by Argentine Julio Cortázar’s surrealist work as well as scientific research on crying.
“So funny and silly and beautiful and utterly un-British. Full of genius. Three splendid performers”. David Greig.
