Imagine That! is the latest solo exhibition by The Cameron Twins, opening at Protein Studios in East London and celebrating imagination through a playful, nostalgic lens!
The exhibition brings together a wide range of works, including large hand-pulled silkscreen prints, collage, mixed-media canvases, sculpture, and large-scale installation. The show will be open to the public from Friday, 27th February to Saturday, 28th February from 10 am to 7 pm each day.
” Childhood is full of wild invention, messy logic and unfiltered fun, where fantasy is instinctive and always alive…but as we grow older, that same sense of whimsy and wonder often fades. ‘Imagine that!’ playfully explores the tension between childhood and adulthood, the ongoing tug-of-war between responsibility and fun, and the internal battle to keep imagination alive. It celebrates the effort it takes to stay playful, and the stubborn persistence of childhood imagination that refuses to behave!” – The Cameron Twins
The Cameron Twins are identical twins and contemporary British artists whose practice centres on hand-pulled screen printing, layered processes, and expressive hand-painted mark-making to create emotionally charged works rooted in nostalgia, childhood imagery, and pop culture. Over a short period of time, they have built a dedicated international following, and their work has been sold at Bonhams, is held in significant private collections, and has led to collaborations with brands including Bang & Olufsen, LØCI, and Gresham Blake.
