Join for an evening of foraged cocktail making and bundle dying. The evening will be split into two sections giving participants a chance to create cocktails in one half and hand dye your own take-home tote; a great alternative to plastic shopping bags!
About the workshop:
During this workshop you will get to taste many wild drink ingredients, learn about flavouring beers and spirits, and fermenting country-wines; and have a go at making, and drinking some wild cocktails for yourselves.
Join SALT Textiles for an introduction into natural dyeing. Throughout the workshop you’ll gain a practical insight into the slow processes involved in making your own dyes from plant and food waste, experiencing first-hand how slow methods of making sit in relation to our fast-fabric culture today.
We’ll explore mordants, natural fabrics, dye matter and dyeing techniques – focusing on bundle dyeing. You’ll go home with a beautifully dyed tote bag.
