Step inside For the Love of Art, and join the movement. With art education in crisis, art education provider art-K spotlights the power art gives each of us. For some, that love of art is loud and bold. For others, their artistic journey has been quieter, travelled at their own pace. To celebrate 20+ years nurturing artistic development, art-K’s national community of 7,000 students unite to make a statement about the significance and necessity of art education and creativity in our lives. Enjoy captivating insights into the artists’ journeys, age 6-66+.
art-K invites you to join us on the Southbank this summer (admission is FREE) for:
- An immersive viewing experience: 1500 pieces of collaborative and individual artworks are on display, showcasing the last year of dedicated learning from our students.
- Free creation stations: help us to ‘grow’ a 2m large on-site coral piece and see how your work complements the other visitors.
- Interactive workshops for all ages: workshops for adults and families are available throughout the day and evening. Book here (hyperlink)
- Observe makers creating live on-site: our artist teachers will demonstrate live art techniques and creations in the exhibition. See how your teachers form line, shape, and transform mediums into artworks.
- Unite with the art-K community: meet like-minded artists, have stimulating conversations and enter a creative wonderland of new ideas.
