Enjoy a free feast of Muslim art, music, dance, culture, literature, history, fashion, food, and more at Eid in the Square 2024. There’s an exciting line-up of traditional and contemporary performances on the main stage, while the wider square will host a huge market. Don’t miss out on what will be an incredible afternoon of delights from across the globe.
For 2024, Cultural Style Week will shine a spotlight on Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The wider square will be abuzz with a huge marketplace, while Islamic characters Omar and Hana will be walking around, ready for a selfie with the crowd. There’ll be roving performances too, with Eid-inspired costumed performers.
There will also be storytelling, spoken word, batik workshops, sports, face painting and mehndi. WAW Creative Arts are running a Family Zone too, while Halal Tourism Britain will share stories of Muslim links to the famous square. And there’s a prayer tent for quiet contemplation.
Everyday Muslim also invite you to share your story and have your photo taken for the live Muslim ‘Identi-Tree’ exhibition. If you want to take part, wear something that symbolises your identity, or bring something that holds special meaning to you. Finally, the Inspiring Muslim awards return to celebrate London’s community heroes.
This popular family event in Trafalgar Square marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. Save the date, Saturday 20 April, 12–6pm. Eid Mubarak!
