Diaspora Dialogues is a live podcast series created and hosted by musician, poet and yogi DemiMa Mseleku. An intimate, multi-sensory evening of conversation, sound selection and food, exploring and honouring the depths of African identity, ancestry & migration through the lens of the Artist. Diaspora Dialogues seeks to expand the UK’s cultural narrative, highlighting African sounds and culture and their impact on the UK’s artistic community.
For this installment DemiMa will be joined by music artist and founder of Black Pound Day, Swiss. Black Pound Day is a grass roots socio-economic movement focused on addressing the economic inequalities and imbalances affecting Black businesses and entrepreneurs in the UK and global diasporic communities.
Swiss is a highly-acclaimed musician and member of the So Solid Crew, he is an author, cultural influencer and business leader. Alongside his passion for music, Swiss is the founder of Black Pound Day, launched in June 2020 as a solution-based approach to the economic inequalities faced by Black communities across the globe. Black Pound Day supports the growth and garners awareness of the UK Black economy and underpins long-term financial growth and infrastructure, empowering and motivating the Black community. Black Pound Day encourages everyone to spend money with local and online UK Black-Owned businesses.
