Crime and Punishment: Women throughout history

March 13, 2023 @ 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM

£10

Much of history follows the lives and deaths of men famous for their victories and defeats, for their rule and legacy. Join bestselling authors Laura Shepherd-Robinson and Suzie Edge at the Museum of London Docklands as they shed light and shift focus onto the female voices that feature in the Executions exhibition and discuss their stories, crimes and punishments. They will also explore the importance of research when writing, the gravity of history in fiction, the darker aspects of London’s Georgian society and our curious history with crime, decapitation, and mutilation as forms of punishment. This talk is organised in association with Capital Crime Writing Festival.

Tickets must be purchased in advance via our website or by contacting our Box Office at 020 7030 3300. If you liked this, why not check out other events inspired by our current exhibition.
