July being the month of Independence celebrations for both Colombia and Venezuela, we have a special event to celebrate the two countries’ musical heritage.
One of London’s longest-running Latin, Salsa & Tropical dance bands play a special set to honour the occasion. The band’s music unites the cultures of both Venezuela & Colombia, taking inspiration from the classic big band era.
Packed full of the UK’s finest Latin players – a tightly honed rhythm section marshalled by percussionist Wilmer Sifontes dovetailing with a crack squad of brass and the charismatic frontwoman Luz Elena.
Luzmira Zerpa is a prolific Venezuelan singer/songwriter who has performed internationally as a solo artist and toured extensively throughout Europe with her band Family Atlantica (Soundway Records).
Luzmira’s own music blends traditional, folkloric music and Afro rhythms from Venezuela & Latin America with world influences, notably afrobeat, blues and jazz.
Maestro DJ Henry Bravo brings DJ support with a set of 100% vinyl heat and 100% pure vibes.
