Look up to the skies this summer to witness one of the most beautiful and longest total lunar eclipse. This spectacular event known as the Blood Moon gets budding astrologist all over London to capture the incidents of this 21st century marvel.

Mars will also be the brightest. It’s the third remarkable lunar event of the year so far, following two supermoons last spring.

Moon rise will take place at 8.49pm in London on Friday, with the eclipse due to reach its mid-point by 9.21pm.

In order to view this extraordinary phenomenon the best place would be somewhere dark, where the skies shine brightly. Hi-up places are also good viewing spots for stargazing troughout the night.
