‘LIGHT IT UP’: Harlequins Rugby reveals the theme for Big Game 14 double header and launches ticket sales ahead of the festive fixture at Twickenham Stadium.

Harlequins are hosting the UK’s biggest rugby event on 27th December as men’s, and women’s teams take on the Bristol Bears.  

Harlequins announced that the festive Big Game 14 is back! This year is set to be bigger than ever, with both Harlequins Men and Women playing a massive double header against Bristol Bears.

This will be the first time ever that the Club will hold a double header of this type at Big Game, and with both teams renowned for their physical, attacking style of play, it promises to be a mouth-watering day of rugby spectacular entertainment for all the family.

Head Coach Amy Turner commented on Harlequins Women’s addition to the event: “It’s great to confirm our double header against Bristol. Big Game is synonymous with the Harlequins’ name, and I know the team is excited for the Women’s third consecutive year in such a huge moment for the Club.”

“We couldn’t have asked for better opposition for this doubleheader. We are a team that values the Harlequins Way of playing and bringing a brand of rugby that both represents our DNA and entertains our supporters. Bristol also places huge value in their own attacking brand of rugby and will help make this Big Game a spectacle for all to enjoy.”

Tickets for the world’s biggest annual club rugby match are in hot demand, with over 9,000 already taken up by Season Ticket Members. Today tickets go on General Sale for all supporters to be able to purchase, priced from just £35 for Adults and £25 for those Under 18’s. You can buy them here!

A jam-packed day of family fun and entertainment is planned for what is the highlight of the regular season across the Gallagher Premiership and Allianz Premier 15s. Please see below for the notable key times below:

Tuesday 27 December (Bank Holiday)

• 12:00 (approx.) Twickenham Stadium is open with free funfair rides, food, and beverage, open all day in the West Fan Village
• 13:30 Harlequins Women vs Bristol Bears Women, Allianz Premier 15s
• 15:45 Major entertainment act live in the stadium
• 16:15 Harlequins vs. Bristol Bears, Gallagher Premiership
• Post-match The Stoop will be open for supporters in the Chris Robshaw Bar

The theme of the event today has also been revealed – ‘Light it Up’. Building on the hugely popular ‘Fire & Ice’ themed Big Game 13 event, supporters can again expect a spectacular array of activities to entertain them across the day, including:

• A stadium light show spectacular
• Free fairground rides for all the family
• A series of light-based art installations to dazzle
