Have you ever wondered what the next wave of East London’s music and youth creativity sounds like? On 28th November, join us at the Boathouse Studios, Barking
for Future Sounds, an evening that starts with purpose and finishes with performance.
We’ll open with a panel and networking session (5:30 pm–7:30 pm) designed for local organisations to connect, share ideas, and learn practical ways to support and amplify youth voice. Expect honest conversation from panellists who have worked with young people in the community, as well as young people sharing their views and experiences. Expect actionable insight and a chance to meet peers who are building opportunities for young people across the borough.
From 7:30 pm–10:30 pm, the evening becomes a celebration: an open mic session showcasing live music, poetry, spoken word and emerging local talent. It’s a warm, safe, supportive space to discover new voices and cheer on artists who are shaping our community’s sound. Whether you’re coming to learn, network, or simply soak up the music, your presence helps lift up local talent.
