Critically acclaimed Brixton novelist, Kate Beales, will be in conversation at Chacarero on Lordship Lane on Sunday 14th June, 4.30-6-30pm. Kate’s book Broken Horses was described by Academy-award winning actor Tim Robbins as “A haunting story of love, rebellion and betrayal. Broken Horses is a powerful retelling of a forgotten struggle for workers’ rights set in a land of harsh beauty, where the fight for dignity is a fight to the death”. Broken Horses is set in 1920s Patagonia and the afternoon will feature live music from 3 Argentinas and Argentinian food.
