Join award-winning textile artist Alice Burnhope for a day exploring traditional textiles techniques such as appliqué, gathers and pleats which can be observed within the Victorian period.
During the day, you’ll learn 7 diverse textile techniques and will also have the chance to discuss your specific interests and identity so that they can be translated into your own personal brooch.
Useful information
- All levels of ability and experience are welcome.
- The workshop will take place in the dedicated Learning Centre at Leighton House.
- After the workshop, participants will also have access to the museum and historic house.
- Ticket price includes all the materials and the bespoke accessory to take home.
