In a historic moment, the evening features the ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ซ๐ of a new piano concerto by the renowned Hungarian composer ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐จฬ๐ญ๐ฏ๐จฬ๐ฌ. This piece is a tribute to the legendary pianist ๐ฎ๐๐ฬ๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐, who overcame immense hardships to become a 20th-century icon. The concerto will be performed by ๐ฑ๐ฬ๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฬ๐๐, who premiered it in Paris in 2021.
The concert programme includes Smetana’s lively comedy overture, setting a high-spirited tone for the night. It culminates in the triumphant sounds of Brahms’ Second Symphony, a work brimming with radiant melodies inspired by the composerโs idyllic summer holidays.
