Spaces of Significance: Anthology Launch

Off The Chest returns to launch their inaugural anthology titled Spaces of Significance!

Expect readings from some of the poets published within the anthology, as well as feature sets from internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning poet and best-selling author Anthony Anaxagorou FRSL, BBC TV, and World Poetry Slam Champion Kat François.

This anthology is published in association with Broken Sleep Books and Bad Betty Press. The poetry in it spans wide and diverse spaces—from the girls’ toilets to the ocean floor.

Edited by acclaimed poets and publishers Aaron Kent of Broken Sleep Books and Jake Wild Hall of Bad Betty Press, the anthology includes poetry from award-winning poets Dean AttaLaurie BolgerMolly NaylorFrancis-Xavier MukiibiJames McDermott, and many more.

From 2 pm, a writing workshop will be in the space before the main event, which starts at 3 pm. As part of this, there will also be a mini open mic session where you can perform your work on this theme, plus performances from poets in the anthology. Hosts Iftikhar Latif and Ella Dorman-Gajic will welcome you to the space.

After the event, there will be time to socialise, listen to music and buy the anthology. Please come along for this explosive poetry event, filled with performances from the UK’s most cutting-edge new, emerging and established poets.
