Sung in Gaidhlig and English\, her second album for Stroom and Night School\, ‘Minor Gestures’\, is a dialogue between place\, history and the listener. Collaborating with experimental and folk musicians in Glasgow\, Stark navigates acoustic textures with fluidity while blending breath\, drone and rhythm. The result is a meditative soundscape that celebrates vulnerability and curiosity. From the responsive waters of ‘Caochan’ to the unanswered queries of ‘Ceistean gun freagairtean’\, this is ritualistic sonic poetry. \nhttps://susannahstarkmusic.bandcamp.com/ \nPOTIK is artist Karolina Lebek\, working across a range of media including video\, photography\, sound\, installation and live performance. Her practice\, exploring interests in consciousness\, ecology and mental health\, gives new form to the exploration of the sacred\, the ritual and the body\, in the context of geological time. Through the desire to capture the affect of memory\, she’s expressing subtle and perturbing worlds\, building her own lexicon of symbolic language\, populated by unspoken narratives\, and haunting material mysteries\, exploring emotional and physical worlds\, both within oneself and those around us. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Adam and Agnes are an artist couple in their early twenties discussing their recent breakup. Meanwhile\, Jack and Joan— the characters in Agnes’ play\, set in the 1950s— are in the midst of a divorce. ‘Swan Teeth’ aims to provide a magnifying glass for relationship archetypes and lacklustre dating dynamics. What do they bring to the surface\, and how do they break us apart? Swans don’t have teeth but can still bite hard enough to leave a mark. \nSofia JM Bitelli debuted as a playwright\, director\, and producer with SWAN TEETH\, a poignant exploration of contemporary intimacy. Starring Josephine Moore (Dreamliners\, Edinburgh Fringe) and Benjamin Finch (Maar\, Dora\, The Second Woman)\, the play brings depth and nuance to the stage. \nThis highly anticipated two-night (February 20th and 22nd) run occurs at Theatreship\, a nonprofit arts venue aboard a historic ship in Canary Wharf. The evening also features readings from TEETH & OTHER BONES\, a poetry and art zine inspired by the play.
