SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | CODACHROME: A live DJ set about the time I fell in love with a [trigger warning] by Everleigh Brenner
DESCRIPTION:A Hoo Hah House Production:\n\nCODACHROME: A live DJ set about the time I fell in love with a [trigger warning] is a party play told by two disc jockeys and a deck. Remy\, an adult\, discovers their intimate partner is a [trigger warning]\, and must now face the challenge of investigating how trauma might breed such behaviors or thought patterns—and how queer identity affects the way we judge what it means to tend to one another’s wounds. They dissect these complicated questions as the life of the party\, because there’s nowhere more romantic to meet yourself than on the dance floor.\n\nReviews for previous Hoo Hah House Productions: \nBROADWAY BABY – ★★★★★ “Hoo Hah House’s production Brave Face is by far the bravest and powerful production I have seen at the Fringe this year”  \nWEST END BEST FRIEND – ★★★★★  “Everleigh Brenner deserves a lot of recognition for her remarkable script and her phenomenal acting.” \nEVERYTHING THEATRE – ★★★★ “Brenner’s acting was sublime\, transporting those around her fully into her life\, making us feel one with her character.” \n\nCredits  \n\n\n\nEverleigh Brenner – Writer and Performer\nMaria Cristina Petitti – Collaborator and Performer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this performance \nAge guidance: This performance is recommended for ages 18+ \nContent warning: This performance explores themes of **pedophilia**\, **sexual trauma**\, and **abusive relationships**. SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | Someone Has Got To Be John by Speakbeast
DESCRIPTION:Right. So\, this is a tribute act. Sort of. \nPaul is telling everyone how to stand. And speak. And hold their hands. George is just about ready to quit. And everyone seems to be ignoring Ringo. But someone is missing. And he will stop at nothing to put himself back in the band. \nA brand new fever-dream from Binge Fringe Queer Performer’s Award Winners Speakbeast\, Someone Has Got To Be John is a theatrical symposium on transmedicalism. It is an attempt to catalogue fifty years of the medical trans model\, from the long hot summer of 1969 to the record breakingly hot summer of 2019. \nIt’s about working relationships. It’s about money. It’s about a man called John. It’s about the breakdown of an iconic relationship. \nLong story short\, we may not be the real thing. \nBut we think we can convince you.

SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | The Triumph of Death by Popsie Theatre
DESCRIPTION:An activist group defaces a painting and calls for the museum to drop their dubious funders. Problem is\, if you dig deep enough\, they are all dubious… The Triumph of Death takes you on an immoral quest with the Head of Development\, as she tries to save the arts while making everyone happy – patrons\, artists and Death themself. \nThe Triumph of Death is a silly\, sad and hypocritical exploration of the complex levels of art-washing that are occurring in our cultural institutions. Playing with the archetypes of a morality play\, taking inspiration from Renaissance art\, and dabbling in musical numbers\, the show asks: are the blood-drenched donors of our cultural institutions using the arts as a moral shield? And\, as overworked\, underfunded artists\, can we live with that? \nLet the Head of Development\, the Artist\, the Patron and Death (fret not\, it’s a puppet)\, help you answer those questions.

SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | The HEAD by DATOU Theatre
DESCRIPTION:“WOMAN walks into the bathroom. She uses the toilet and closes the lid then flushes it. She walks away to wash her hands but decides to double-check again. At this moment\, HEAD suddenly pops out and hits the toilet lid.” “Even I might not be born in the same way as this child\, but I too\, am your\, my mom’s\, creation.” Our performance is a puppet theatre adaptation of The Head from Bora Chung’s acclaimed book Cursed Bunny. This visually striking production unfolds a surreal allegory-like story\, it follows a woman confronted by a grotesque\, sentient head emerging from her toilet\, calling her “Mother.” exploring the complex dynamics between mothers and daughters\, inherited trauma\, and identity erasure.

SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | Viddani (Devoted) by Oleksandra Topolska and Solomia Dzhurovska
DESCRIPTION:Viddani (Devoted) is a musical play\, a celebration\, a contemplation and an interactive performance in one\, told through Ukrainian folk singing. \nThe story of Viddani is autobiographical but set at the time inspired by old Ukrainian folk and village wedding ceremonies. \nIt asks the questions: can soft power\, such as love\, truly be stronger than anything else? Can it break through the pain of the world? Can it heal? Would you choose to leave paradise in exchange for the ability to make your own choice? \nViddani has three main characters: Svitla\, her beloved Shum and “Narod”\, a character played by 3-5 people\, who move and speak as one and represent circumstances\, society\, culture\, family and responsibilities – everything external that our characters must face to make their life choices. \nThe play has very little dialogue in English & Ukrainian and translations of Ukrainian songs will be available to audiences.

SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | Cookies by Accelerate Theatre
DESCRIPTION:In an effort to reduce the crime spike of 2035\, AI is now used to predict if someone will commit a crime in the future. The accused can be sentenced and punished as if they had already committed the crime and the courts now work under the guise of guilty until proven innocent. \nIn a land-mark case\, the first woman has been predicted to murder her ex-partner – a prominent government official. Slandered by the press\, and isolated from her friends\, the woman faces the court. \nThe prosecution pieces together her digital crumbs and her social media habits\, internet searches\, messages and private videos are suddenly broadcast to the world. She is presented as unstable\, emotionally repressed and absolutely capable of murder. Enraged and determined for the truth\, the woman is left to wonder if AI knows her better than herself?

SUMMARY:SHIFT+SPACE | Prometheus NOW by Hangar404 Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Prometheus NOW by Nikos Lekakis and Ellen Wiltshire is a visually evocative physical theatre performance that draws on ancient myth to explore the paradox of a world in perpetual motion—where the rush of modern life breeds stillness. It invites audiences into a world where perspective is unravelled and reassembled\, leaving them with a renewed sense of how the futures we pursue quietly shape the present we so often overlook. \nThis explosive performance hurls a classical myth into the pressure cooker of the present. Fusing bold choreography\, visual theatre\, and raw ensemble performance\, Prometheus NOW plunges audiences into a multi-sensory world where foresight meets hindsight—and where every moment of stillness pulses with potential. Audiences are not just observers but are positioned within stage compositions that shift around them—revealing\, obscuring\, and asking us to see differently.
