Edgar Wright was his first volunteer. Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn met at a Raindance course\, and David Yates (Harry Potter)\, Christopher Nolan and Gareth Edwards (Monsters\, Star Wars) all launched their careers following film training courses at Raindance. Ken Loach and Mike Leigh are patrons. \n\n\n \n\n\nThe award-winning filmmaker launched The British Independent Film Awards and Raindance Film Festival and has produced over 700 hundred short films and seven feature films: the multi-award-winning The Living and the Dead (2006)\, Deadly Virtues (2013)\, Amber (2017)\, Love is Thicker Than Water (2018)\, and you’ve got yourself a world-class filmmaking teacher with indie roots and Hollywood experience.
