SUMMARY:Family Shakespeare: Pyramus & Thisbe - June
DESCRIPTION:The Rude Mechanicals have been asked to perform a play at the Duke’s wedding. Trouble is\, they’ve forgotten to write it! Can you help??? \nDo you remember Pyramus & Thisbe? The romantic tragedy that Bottom & The Rude Mechanicals were asked to perform for the Duke in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM? In this interactive theatre experience\, the audience put their heads together to add the finishing touches to the Rude Mechanicals’ play\, helping to create a completely original version! Combining Shakespeare’s original text with fresh ideas from the audience\, the play is fleshed out with music\, props\, puppets\, rhymes\, sound effects & killer dance moves\, resulting in a completely fabulous and totally unique performance! \nEach show follows a simple narrative structure that the audience helps to develop\, encouraging kids to use their imagination as they help to construct characters\, write songs\, create stories\, invent sound effects and more. Each choice enhances their storytelling skills\, exposes them to the infinite possible storylines a tale can take\, and leaves them with a huge sense of pride in their comedy\, musicality and creativity. And because so much of the show is led by the audience\, you’ll never see the same show twice! \nOur shows can be enjoyed by kids of all ages\, and grown-ups too! For participation\, the show is best suited for ages 5 years and above; but for younger audiences\, there is plenty of music\, colour\, and silly comedy to be the perfect spectacle from a lap! \nHullabaloo are passionate about making theatre accessible and encouraging on-your-feet\, wild\, inventive fun where kids can get creative\, free their imagination\, discover some hidden talents\, and learn some of the best theatre ever written. \nSo many kids approach Shakespeare with fear. It gets thrust upon them as teenagers\, with a sudden expectation to understand it. This often results in them feeling overwhelmed and feeling that it’s not for them. But what if they were exposed to it earlier? Hullabaloo believe that the earlier kids are exposed to this great wordsmith\, the better. They believe the sooner kids are exposed to its familiar language and great stories\, the better. Each show exposes children to some of the finest and funniest of Shakespeare’s language\, which will hopefully lead them to view Shakespeare as something fun\, exciting and accessible.

SUMMARY:The Mysterious Case of Sir Percival Lancelot and His Missing Ear
DESCRIPTION:Sir Percival Lancelot is dead. \nThe family has gathered.\nThe will is about to be read.\nAnd somewhere inside Lancelot Manor… an ear has gone missing. \nFollowing the success of last year’s Cinderella – The Elders Panto\, the Church Street Elders return to The Cockpit with a brand-new devised murder mystery full of secrets\, lies\, absurd family rivalries\, suspicious servants\, inheritance battles\, and increasingly questionable detective work. \nPart Agatha Christie parody\, part ensemble theatre experiment\, The Mysterious Case of Sir Percival Lancelot and His Missing Ear has been created through improvisation\, storytelling\, physical theatre\, and collective devising by members of Dendê Collective’s Drama for Elders programme. \nExpect dramatic revelations\, chaotic reconstructions\, hidden motives\, terrible alibis\, and a manor house full of people who may — or may not — have had something to do with Sir Percival’s untimely end. \nAnd then… there is the second death. \nUsing a playful theatrical language inspired by classic murder mysteries\, ensemble storytelling\, and highly imaginative low-fi staging\, the cast transform chairs\, bodies\, sound\, and movement into the strange and crumbling world of Lancelot Manor. \nNo two performances are likely to be exactly the same.\nCome and help solve the mystery… if you can.

SUMMARY:Richard III - London Theatre
DESCRIPTION:Following acclaimed productions in Madrid and internationally\, Argentine director Nicolás Pérez Costa presents a new London adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard III. \nFar from a traditional staging\, this production transforms the classic tragedy into a visceral\, dark\, and deeply human contemporary theatrical experience. Performed in the round\, this physically driven reinterpretation places the audience directly inside a brutal and decaying universe where power is fought through bodies\, rhythm\, and violence. \nBrought to life by an international ensemble cast\, the show combines intense physical theatre\, live percussion\, dynamic character transformations\, and a bold Latin vision to explore the timeless mechanisms of ambition\, seduction\, and political destruction. It is a raw\, poetic\, and high-energy experience designed specifically for contemporary audiences\, theatre enthusiasts\, and lovers of bold\, visual storytelling who want to see Shakespeare re-imagined for the modern world.

SUMMARY:Transit
DESCRIPTION:How do you pack a life into 23 kilograms? One item at a time. \nTransit is an award-winning\, genre-bending investigation of identity\, belonging and migration. Told through a series of vignettes utilising physical theatre\, multilingual performance\, poetry\, dance\, multimedia\, practical lights and music\, Transit delicately navigates the feeling of being ‘too foreign for here\, too foreign for home.’ \nFrom the endless cycle of unpacking and repacking to wondering when you can stop being considered ‘a foreigner’ to building community and hope amidst uncertainty\, this deeply human piece is a love letter to anyone who has ever moved away from home. \nBased on true stories gathered from migrants across the UK\, Transit asks: what does it mean to settle in the space between languages\, cultures and identities? \nAll performances of Transit are creatively captioned.

SUMMARY:The Writing of Stones
DESCRIPTION:The Writing of Stones is an odyssey to the beginning and the end of human creativity. A cheeky\, dreamy\, brainy blast of high-energy physical theatre performed by humans and stones. \nWelcome to a hijacked meditation\, a psychedelic school trip\, a reverie on the reality-altering nature of attention\, the limits of language\, and humanity’s place in nature. \nInspired by the writings of Roger Caillois\, this show is a train ride into the depths of your subconscious. Expect otherworldly phantoms\, surrealism\, science\, illuminations\, aesthetic philosophy\, The Sistine Chapel\, your worst haircut\, an Impressionist lunch\, and lots and lots of stones. \nThe Writing of Stones is a physical theatre show about the consciousness of stones that asks if art will outlive humanity. \nOn a reckless romp through the history of art\, humans and stones search for a way of being between human and mineral\, subject and object\, movement and stillness\, sacred and profane. \nAnd\, in the end\, we ask: who really will have the last word? \nDirection: Emma Wagstaff and Dominic Weatherby.\nCreation and performance: Elmira Olberholzer\, John Harper\, Emma Wagstaff\, and Dominic Weatherby.\nOriginal devising company: Juliana de Aragão\, John Harper\, Emma Wagstaff\, and Dominic Weatherby. \n‘Mesmeric musings on memory and materiality\, optics and apocalypse.’\nAudience Member \nGet your tickets HERE

SUMMARY:Dünyada
DESCRIPTION:“I’m not from here.” \nA man arrives with a suitcase\, a camera\, and a voice that seems sad somehow. \nHe speaks of homeland\, parents\, lost loves\, strange customs… the narrative unravels into a mosaic of unfinished thoughts and philosophical detours; A microphone picks up his distorted speech; A camera captures his eyes\, lips\, old photos\, debris\, and you… too. Images appear behind him\, what it means to be seen? \nThis August\, internationally acclaimed actor and director Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu brings his visceral\, high-intensity solo performance Dünyada to Camden Fringe. Reimagining Will Eno’s celebrated monologue Title and Deed\, the production arrives in London fresh from Istanbul’s underground theatre scene\, offering an evocative exploration of migration\, identity drift\, and the fragile necessity of being witnessed in a digital age. \nDünyada\, meaning “in the world”\, is a formally adventurous solo theatre that tears the fabric of one-person play through cinematic camera work\, visual extension and sound design. Nuroğlu performs a dual role as both actor and live cinematographer\, walking the thin line between the mundane duties of keeping things going and the emotional disorder of remembering (like all of us). In a raw\, technical struggle\, he manages lighting and soundscapes in real-time\, creating a parallax between his physical body and his digital ghost. The production transforms the audience from mere spectators into active material\, as the camera turns to film the watchers\, projecting their silent presence into the heart of the monologue. \nIntimate\, funny\, unsettling\, and deeply\, deeply human. \nDünyada. A salute to the progress in life\, to being here\, now\, right now. On stage. \n  \nGet your tickets HERE
