DESCRIPTION:Level Crossing Records (LCR) is partnering with The Bull’s Head\, an iconic London music venue\, to create a day of live music to celebrate Record Store Day 2025. \nThe Bull’s Head in Barnes is one of Britain’s first and most important jazz venues. Known as the “suburban Ronnie Scott’s”\, The Bull’s Head will host a selection of artists curated with Level Crossing Records\, including Scrounge (new album preview\, out 18 April)\, Albert (debut Album\, London Country Soul\, out now)\, Nearly Jethro and Dargz. \nThe live music event starts at 2:00 p.m. and goes on until late. Tickets are available for £10 here. \nAlongside the live music\, LCR will open its doors at 8 a.m.\, giving away free coffees to music fans in the queue. Refreshments will be available throughout the day\, and 50% off all previous Record Store Day releases will be available. \nLCR has also partnered with Le Swine for another year to serve up its renowned bacon butties\, loved by GQ\, TimeOut and the Evening Standard\, in the store.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Grazina Pukaite Quartet 'My Favorite Things'
DESCRIPTION:Internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Grazina Pukaite originally from Lithuania\, emerged into the Irish jazz scene in 2014 before settling in London in 2018. Her influences cross genres\, but what truly sets her apart is her deep connection with traditional jazz and her unique and fearless exploration of vocal improvisation and storytelling.\n\nGrazina will present an intimate evening featuring Julian Woods on double bass\, Chris Davis on drums\, and Lior Solomons-Wise on piano. She will perform arrangements of jazz standards\, Brazilian tunes\, contemporary jazz compositions\, and some of her original songs from her recent EP ‘Small Sessions I’.\n\nLine up:\nGrazina Pukaite – Vocals\nJulian Woods – Double Bass\nChris Davis – Drums\nLior Solomons-Wise – Piano\n\nChris is a highly motivated and dedicated upcoming musician on the London scene. His passion to pursue music has already led him to several brilliant opportunities including with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra\, Brubeck Jazz Summit 2022 (USA\, Lake Tahoe\, Nevada) and where he is currently studying for a degree in jazz performance\, at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.\nChris has been studying under both UK and International class drum teachers including Eric Harland\, Ralph Salmins\, James Maddren\, Sebastiaan De Krom\, Will Glaser and others.\nOnce Chris completes his time at GSMD in 2025\, he plans to continue working in the music industry\, continuing his interests in playing for sessions\, composition (film and video games)\, and touring and playing jazz in London and the USA.\n\nJulian Woods is a bassist and guitarist based in London and studying at the Guildhall School of Music. His interests include free improvisation\, microtonality\, polystylism and serialism. He frequently collaborates with Steve Beresford\, Maggie Nicols\, Phil Minton and others.\n\nLior Solomons-Wise is a 21-year-old pianist and composer based in London. An undergraduate student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, Lior has performed at jazz venues across London\, including Pizza Express Dean Street and the Vortex and debuted his quintet at the EFG Jazz Festival 2023. Lior is the Winner of the Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition 2023.\n\nHire London Jazz Singers

DESCRIPTION:Jazz\, Funk and Soul made in Berlin \nMatti Klein – wurlitzer\, rhodes bass\nLars Zander – bass clarinet\, sax\nAndré Seidel – drums \nWith his various vintage keyboards and as MD for the Brazilian soul superstar Ed Motta or with his band Mo ‘Blow\, Klein earned his reputation as one of the most interesting young groove jazz musicians on the German scene\, appearing in renowned clubs like Ronnie Scott’s in London\, the Blue Note in Tokyo\, the Highline Ballroom in New York\, as well as at international festivals such as Pori Jazz\, Jazz in Marciac and the Leverkusener Jazztage. The man in the smart hat also shared the stage and studio with stars like Nils Landgren\, Jimmy Somerville\, and David T. Walker. \n“The soulful jazz mix that keyboardist Matti Klein serves with Lars Zander on saxophone and bass clarinet and drummer André Seidel\, his partner from “Mo ’Blow” times\, has addictive potential. The three musicians create a sound that sounds much more than a trio. Groove master Klein on the keys ensures the perfect dose of bass himself. With his left hand\, he plays a custom-built Rhodes bass piano and produces a full\, warm and round sound that has it all. (…) With their passionate reminiscences of the soul-jazz era\, the three musicians received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
