DESCRIPTION:Laurie Slavin\, tenor\nCaroline Taylor\, soprano\nMairi Grewar\, piano \n— \nThis St Andrews Day\, join St Andrews University alumni Laurie Slavin and Caroline Taylor for a Night at the Opera\, accompanied on piano by Mairi Grewar! \nTravel from the wintery streets of Paris to the hot summer sidewalks of New York and everywhere in-between\, in a programme featuring the best-loved scenes and arias from opera\, operetta and musical theatre. \nA Night at the Opera was first performed in St Salvator’s Chapel\, St Andrews; we are delighted to bring the concert to the beautiful surroundings of St James’s Church\, Paddington. \nLaurie\, Caroline and Mairi are raising funds for their continued study in the field of opera and répétiteurship; collectively\, they have trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama\, the Royal Northern College of Music and the National Opera Studio\, performing to great acclaim. \nFeeling the chill of winter? Let us warm your heart with the music of Donizetti\, Puccini\, Sullivan and Bernstein and more.
